Apple Ipad News and Info
(Add A Comment) |
The Ipad is here! Is it a big iTouch, or the next mass media platform? It runs the standard iPhone OS, with full support for all existing apps - and a big developer ecosystem already. At 9 base price, it may be a real winner as a consumer product. Particularly versus the Kindle and Nook, it's hard to see how it won't come out ahead. Versus netbooks, it will be interesting to see how the lack of keyboard effects sales. With a huge installed iPhone base, many people are already comfortable with screen typing, and the iTunes app store experience.
As a book reader, it will be a winner. In terms of other applications, it will depend on the skills and creative talent of the development team.
