Toyota Recall News and Info
(Add A Comment) |
The Toyota recall involves more than 10 million vehicles in the US, and more worldwide. Initially, a smaller recall involved the floor mats. The larger recall involved the internal pedal assembly. There has been some discussion of possible electronic issues with the throttle control. Wozniak reported problems with the cruise control on his Prius - likely an unrelated issue, but it did get some media attention.< br />
Toyota's sales fell dramatically as a result of the recall, and in fact were halted entirely for several days across the entire US. Ford, GM, and Chrysler likely benefited to some degree, although the exact impact is difficult to guage.
